Exercise based rehabilitation is an important part of recovery from an injury, improving general strength, fitness and conditioning. As part of this we utilise the principles of Pilates. Pilates is a form of exercise that emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility and awareness. The Pilates method generally uses the body as the means of resistance in exercises blending strength and flexibility. This approach leads to improved posture, often-used analogy equates the human body with tree, whose branches cannot thrive without the trunk and roots being strong.

Stretching is a form of physical exercise in which a specific muscle or tendon (or muscle group) is deliberately flexed or stretched in order to improve the muscle’s felt elasticity and achieve comfortable muscle tone.
This involves the use of very fine needles that are inserted into the body at specific points. This process is believes to adjust and alter the body’s energy flow into healthier patterns and is used to treat a wide variety of illnesses and health conditions
